  • Four passport-sized photographs of each married couple.
  • Proof of Residence (Voter Card / Passport / Ration Car / Driving License / Bank Passbook / Lease Deed / Rent Deed) of Marrying Persons.
  • A proof of date of birth (Municipal Corporation Certificate, XIIth Examination Certificate, Passport, PAN Card) for the married couple.
  • Death certificate of the deceased spouse, if any party is a widow or widower.
  • A certified copy of the court-granted divorce decree if one of the parties is divorced.
  • If either or both parties are foreign citizens or holders of foreign passports, they are required to submit a Certificate of Present Marital Status / No Impediment Certificate / NOC from the relevant Embassy, as well as a Valid Visa.
  • Two witnesses (both must be majors)

  • Bridegroom has completed the age of 21 years and the bride the age of 18 years at the time of marriage.
  • To participate in an Arya Samaj marriage, the wedding couple must belong to Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, or Jainism.

However, anybody who does not belong to these religions can participate in it through a procedure known as Shuddhi. Muslims, Christians, Parsis, and Jews can freely convert to Hinduism and participate in Arya Samaj marriages.

  • Both the parties should have a valid age proof.
  • Parties are not within the degrees of prohibited relationship.
  • Neither party has a spouse living at the time of marriage.
